It is narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:
"The example of the person who knows the Qur'an by heart is like the owner of tied camels. If he keeps them tied, he will control them, but if he releases them, they will run away."
This Hadith uses a physical metaphor to describe a technical reality: memory is not permanent and requires constant maintenance. Just as a camel is a restless animal that will wander off if not secured, memorized information naturally fades from the brain without active recall. This highlights that knowing the Quran is a continuous process of "re-securing" the data rather than a one-time achievement.
